GB PRE was established in 2016 and officially appointed as the organisation for ANCCE competitions in the UK. ANCCE is the Real Asociación Nacional de Criadores de Caballos de Pura Raza Española, (Royal Purebred Spanish Horse Breeders’ Association), and incorporates the mother stud book for PRE horses in Seville, Spain.

GB PRE is committed to promoting and supporting all competitions, across all disciplines for PRE and PRE associated breeds in the UK. Furthermore, we help to promote and host training clinics, educational seminars and endorse equine welfare by supporting The British Equestrian Federation’s “Charter For The Horse” and The Horse Trust’s “WeighToWin” scheme.

We host our annual Championship Breed Show at the Internationally acclaimed Hartpury Equine College in Gloucestershire. The event is held over three days at the end of July and is quite unique in that it covers so may equestrian disciplines all in one place, which, is a true testament to the versatility of the PRE and Iberian breeds. We are also excited to collaborate with British Breeding by hosting the first of their 2024 “Futurity Evaluation Days” on the Sunday of the show, which is open to all breeds.
