COPA ANCCE Dressage

Copa ANCCE translated means ‘ANCCE Cup’, which is an international league for PRE horses competing in all levels of dressage, culminating in the prestigious annual World Championships at SICAB in Seville.

Britain is one of the only European countries outside of Spain to have secured Copa ANCCE Dressage qualifiers recognised by ANCCE and in fact we were the first country in 2016 to hold qualifiers outside Spain. SICAB is the official International World Championships for PRE horses, held in November over the course of a week, during which they see some 250,000 visitors through their doors.

What level can I qualify at?

The tests used at each level for both qualification and the Championship are in accordance with the FEI. The levels available for qualification in the U.K. are as follows:

4 year old FEI (Prelim & Final)
5 year old FEI (Prelim & Final)
6 year old FEI (Prelim & Final)
Prix St. George & Inter 1 FEI (7+ years)
Grand Prix/GP Special FEI (8+ years)

Who can compete?

Any rider combination competing a PRE. Please note Premier League competitions are usually oversubscribed and entries close earlier than normal BD competitions. It is advised to plan and enter well in advance to avoid disappointment.

How do I qualify?

GB PRE have secured 10 qualifiers across the country for 2025 running from April to October. Scores from each qualifier are submitted to ANCCE who manage the online international league table. The top three scores from each combination will be entered into the league table to display an accumulative total. The top 10-15 horses from each level will qualify directly for SICAB. Scores depend on a combination of percentages and placing gained.

How do I know if I have qualified?

The UK Dressage Copa ANCCE qualifiers are open to all GB PRE members with an ANCCE registered PRE (Purebred Spanish horse). The qualifiers are incorporated into normal British Dressage classes, predominantly Premier League shows as ANCCE stipulates there must be three judges, therefore BD membership for horse, owner and rider are essential.

The 2025 qualifying period finishes in Spain around the 20^th October, after which, the accumulative league table is updated and the final top combinations at each level will be invited to attend SICAB.
