GB PRE (“GB PRE”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects the privacy rights of its online visitors and members (“you”, “your”, “yours”) and recognises the importance of protecting the information collected about them. We have adopted a Privacy Policy that guides how we collect, store and use the information that you provide us with.

 

WHY WE COLLECT CUSTOMER INFORMATION

GB PRE collects member and visitor information to communicate with our members and visitors about our brand, products, merchandise, services, events and promotions. We collect information including your name, e-mail and postal address that you provide to us when you join or register or make a purchase. We also monitor site use and traffic patterns to improve our website design and the products and services we offer. GB PRE recognises that it must maintain and use customer information responsibly.

 

WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU COLLECT?

We collect three types of information about you.

When you join as a member, enter an event, purchase merchandise or advertising, we collect the relevant contact, address and event entry details. If you opt-in to receive further information, offers and promotions from us, either by email or post, we collect and store your contact details relevant to the way you have asked to be contacted.

 

During your browsing experience, we may collect anonymous data as per the terms of our cookie policy. This we call non-personal data about use of the website, such as pages visited, times and volume of use of the services as well as Traffic Data. Traffic data includes logs, details of networks, time of log-on or access, length of sessions and similar systems data.

 

YOUR DATA

When entering an event, purchasing merchandise or advertising, we may ask your consent (opt-in) to receive information about further offers, marketing and promotions. If you do not give this consent, we will only hold and process your data for the purpose of processing the transaction and in such a way that is relevant to the transaction.

 

When you join as a member, you are obliged to provide your data to us in order for us to fulfil the services that we offer to you, as a member, which includes sending to you by post and email, magazines, your membership pack, event information, news, AGM notifications and any other information that we believe to be of relevance to you. As a member, we may occasionally promote to you an offer from a trusted partner. Such a campaign may require the sharing of some data.

 

We publish a membership directory in the membership section of the website. Only members that have logged into the membership section may view the membership directory. Members may choose not to be listed during the sign-up process and latterly, under their membership account settings. Stud members and those members that have paid, may list their information in the stud directory. This is available publicly on the website. Those members advertising in either the stud directory or the member directory accept that they have the opted to do so, and that their information is published as they have requested.

 

We do not directly hold credit or debit card details for you, these are held and processed by card processing companies such as Stripe or PayPal. If you do pass card information over the phone for a telephone order please note it will be immediately destroyed after entry into the card machine.

We may pass on your address details to couriers, including but not limited to the Royal Mail and DPD, we do not expect or grant any rights to these partners to hold your data other than the fulfilment of any order you have placed for merchandise or any item that we are delivering to you as part of your membership subscription and service.

 

YOUR RIGHTS

Your data and information are yours to control as you wish. At any time you have the right to:

  • Access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct your personal data when incorrect, out of date or incomplete.
  • Withdraw your consent for us to use your personal data for marketing.
  • Request that your information is removed from our systems.
  • Whenever you have given us your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to change your mind at any time and withdraw that consent.
  • You have the right to stop the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time. You can write to us or email us here.

In cases where we are holding your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can ask us to stop for reasons connected to your individual situation. We must then do so unless we believe we have a legitimate overriding reason to continue holding your personal data until the issue is resolved.

 

HOW LONG DO YOU HOLD PERSONAL DATA?

For data collected during a transaction, we will hold your data for no more than 6 years from the end of the company last financial year, this is to comply with HMRC accounting rules. For information collected during a marketing sign up, we will hold this until you request to be removed from our database. You can at any time do this after sign up by either using the email opt out at the bottom of an email or by contacting us.

 

IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE?

GB PRE utilises the latest Secure Server Software (SSL) and is Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant to ensure that all personal information remains private and secure. GB PRE will not rent or sell your e-mail address or personal details for any reason. We treat confidentiality with the highest priority. GB PRE complies with the standards, procedures and requirements detailed in the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

 

SAFEGUARDING YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We will only collect personally identifiable information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve you in view of our legitimate business purposes as set out above, and we will use our best endeavours to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided us with. When you place an order or access your account information, we use a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption which encrypts your information before it is sent to us to protect it from unauthorised use. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to ensure those third-party business partners to whom we transfer any data will provide sufficient protection of that personal information.

 

COOKIES

The GB PRE website (gbpre.co.uk) uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with the best possible experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site by identifying possible errors and generic browsing behaviours. All cookies collected by our site are anonymous and will not be used to personally identify you. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies.

 

We use cookies to assist with the analysis of traffic activity around our site.
